The Australian Property Institute has a proud history as Australia’s premier property professional organisation. Founded in 1926 as the Commonwealth Institute of Valuers, the Institute has evolved over time, adapting to the changing needs and influences of the property profession.
We are a National body with over 7,500 Members each of whom is a professional involved in the valuation, administration and use of land, property, and plant and machinery. Members have degree level tertiary qualifications, have served a period of rigorous training, passed examinations and required to achieve annually accredited compulsory Continuing Professional Development.
Members of the Institute include valuers, professional property advisors, analysts and facilitators and all share a common attribute – they are property experts.
